There are many reasons, which make cloud applications in general and HumanWave specifically easy to use. But one of the most fundamental ones is deep below the surface. Therefore we need to get back to the mid and late eighties, where pc networks started to gain market share above mainframe and mini systems. In that time most of the current traditional ERP systems were born. Most of them character based and since the middle of the nineties with a graphical user interface (GUI e.g. windows based).

Funny enough innovation since then seemed to be stopped. As of today the variety of mature web-based business applications is still pretty poor, where in our private lives the internet is a part of our daily live. Main raison for this is the old fundament under business software. Traditionally those systems are designed to file data, which can only be entered by business experts, where our internet (cloud) software is designed to collaborate, making business transparent and information available where ever you are.

Let’s give an example. Imagine filing an expense claim. Normally you would do this on paper, but now you can file it into the system, by just using the internet, you just fill out what you want to request and submit it to your manager. The system will check on rules and policies and your manager only needs to add an approval or comment and send it to admin to final process. You simply do what you always do and you don’t need to be a business expert.
