The assignment:
Ernst & Young Tax advisors the Netherlands conducts research on the fiscal consequences of reported expense claims at their clients. This research is necessary due to several reasons:
• Make an inventory of requested business expenses;
• Assess the reported expenses versus company policies;
• Assess the reported expenses versus Dutch fiscal policies;
• Support companies with preparations for the new Dutch law in 2011.
Ernst & Young developed a methodology to support the above mentioned goals in the most effective way. This is done by monitoring and analyzing the behavior of filing expense claims within companies for a three month research period. To support this methodology HumanWave developed, a standard solution for Ernst Young.
The Solution
Individual clients log on to their secured online portal. In this portal the individual employee of the client files their expense claims. These claims are automatically structured by HumanWave, after which they are analyzed and processed by Ernst & Young employees. By keeping the data in the database, both the client and Ernst & Young have immediate insight in the status and conclusions during the research period.
This way the total process is very transparent for both client and Ernst & Young, resulting in a faster and more effective research.
